New Grimoire Essay this Equinox (JWMT)
Topic: What Aaron's Up To

Hey folks!

I'm VERY excited to announce a new essay on the grimoires coming your way this equinox from the Journal of the Western Mystery Tradition (www.jwmt.org). It is called:

Modern Grimoire Magick: Folk-Magick and the Solomonic Path

I loved researching the material for this essay! In a sense, you could say that it picks up where "Secrets..." left off. It follows the German immigrants who came to the New World and brought their grimoires and folklore with them. The result was the "Hexcraft" or "Pow-wow" tradition of American folk-magick- which then migrated south and influenced the southern Hoodoo traditions. (Both of these are what we would call "witchcraft" today.) These traditions kept the grimoires alive, even if they did slightly re-frame the material into a less ritualistic mold.

Keep an eye on my homepage, as well as on the JWMT! (The Journal will also include a new review of "Secrets...")
